What will I learn?
This session will provide practical advice on developing a career action plan and keeping motivated whilst looking for a new role. We will also work with you to explore where best to look for a new role, how to work with recruitment consultants and the “hidden” jobs market. There is plenty of content and advice, but also opportunities for you to tailor the learning to your situation with practical applications and discussions. We will then look in detail at the recruitment and selection process including providing a practical framework to use in interviews, which many people find daunting. Along with hints and tips from over 25 years’ experience. Finally we will talk through when and how to accept a job offer and help you to make a positive impact in your new role. The key learning areas are:
- Why planning and having a career action plan is important. The fundamentals principles of a successful plan
- How to access the right roles for you and positively engage with the jobs market. How to ensure you get interviews more often?
- What is the essence of a job interview and how do they differ from other business meetings? How to prepare for an interview and a tried and tested framework for success.
- How to make a positive impact and approach the first 30 days in a new role.
